Release bearing on a 1.1i

My saxos release bearing is wining like a b***h and my m8 who works for VW says itz on its way out. Just asking has this happend to anyone else and how much is it to put right.

surely just go somewhere like mr clutch? citroen will rape you and its only a 1.1 so its probably not worth getting an aftermarket one
