get a sparkrite car alarm from Argos, item number 10 on page 924the Sparkrite SRA6
If everyone could look and maybe guide me, im wondering if this alarm would be easy to fit by myself? iv gotten quotes and there a bit steep.
Do i have to pull things apart or do i have to take parts off? do i have to drill? it says simple to install.....yeh ok for a pro!!
I was going to go for a toad but im going to do that next year after xmas has past, too many presents to get lol
Thanks for your time ppl for helping me in this

Doubt its really worth it lee. Would in my opinion be a piece of piss for a thief to beat. Would be better to save for the Toad and get a quality alarm.

Ive just looked on Ebay, what about this? SCORPION CAR ALARM 3000T + IMMOBILISER
Smithy
23rd October 2004, 01:48
Unless its a cat 1 or 2 alarm/immobiliser then its not really worth having. Plus its got to be installed by a pro to get the thatcham rating.
Anything else is just throwing your money away really.

DIY alarms may advertise as being 'easy fit'. But you have to have a bit of knowledge into the car electical system. You have to be able to tap into the cars ingnition system if the alarm has an immobiliser, and also if it has central lock feature then uneed to be able to gain accesss to the door lock release solenoids and running wiring up the car to mount switches on all doors and boot/bonnet etc is a pain. and interior sensors...
Its not alot of hassle if u have the patience and the knowledge to be able to work at it for a good day really. Id say save and get a pro fit alarm. smileys/smiley4.gif
