just wanted some advice so i know what matters..
i think the exhaust might have a hole, the heat shield has come loose, the bit that hides the handbrake cables but the bolts have snapped so can i just drill a new hole in the underside where it was originally screwed ort is this a bad idea? also massive crack in the window.. as well does it matter about leaks cause the drivers side door can leak sometimes oh and should i put the rear wiper and original airbox back on? oh and as ive got vtr rims on will the standard spare wheel do?.. cheers for any help!

Try and get all steelies back on or the VTR's, put Firegum on the exhaust and it will be a temporary fix for the Exhaust, it will get stronger with the more heat the goes past it. The leak is probably the door seal, get one from a scrappy for next to nothing that should sort it.

so do leaks matter? cause i dont see how they will find a leak in it? and ive no idea where the exhaust is blowing from but im sure it is. what about the rattling heat shield as well? am i good to screw it into what it was origiinally screwed into? like by drilling new holes?

I failed mine the other day for "incomplete side repeater" after my arch fell off the day before. I figured if the bulb worked fine, and was orange they would pass it. Obviously not!

Yup try and screw it into the Orginal holes, to find the hole in the exhaust, turn the engine on, jack the car up and put your hand under the exhaust from front of the exhaust right to the back and feel for any air blowing out, that is were your hole is. The leak probably doesn't matter.

Remeber check all fluid levels and all lights work.

Hope it helps.
