What about insurance? Got any restriction? Your age, budget etc...

why does it have to be a VTS?

106 GTI, if you don't get a VTS.

doesnt have to be vts just a thought being as ive already had a saxo.

insurance on a vts is £1000 which is what i paid for my furio last year so insurance shouldnt be a problem.

106 gti have thought about but would prefer saxo purely on looks.

would i be able to get a clio 172 for £3000, and would it be in good condition??

may look into a gti-6 whats the performance like on them?

Can pick up a nice Ph-quick (Mk2 Ph1 172) for around the 3k mark in an average condition! For one in a good condition tho u will be looking more around the 4k mark! Will out perform a gti or gti-6

for "
"less than 50 000 miles

its pointless as every car is diferent mate, you get get a 20year old car with them specs, yet you mite spend a year looking for a vts with them, its the luck of the draw when ur looking bud,

Depends what you want out of a car matey.
-If you want something a bit different but don't mind spending a bit more on keeping it on the road i'd say the starlett.
-If you want a pretty well built car but can handle not being rapid a zetec-s is nice!
-If you want a car which is quick and nippy and cheaper insurance a gti or a vts.
- If you want speed and can afford to pay more for insurance get a 172.
- If you want comfort at speed and don't mind paying the insurance for it go for the gti-6.

I personally would go for the 172, even if they have a higler mileage they still have pretty good engines and are pretty fast motors. Alot of fun for the cash :)
