Hey guys

I am now the owner of a 'standard' 1.1i saxo and would like to make it more of a geezers ride rather than a car daddy just brought for his daughters 17th.

Its Rreg, previous 1 lady owner (real), 46thou on clock, very neat inside and out but no electric windows, mirrors, power sterring etc.

But! In my opinion all that I need to transform my car from daddy's girl to whose the daddy is to change the appearance of the wheels. I currently have standard hubcaps however I'm not going mad and paying out for alloys so I wondered what you thought of these...

Only £25 but is crome tacky?

All comments appreciated.
Thanks

In my opinion chrome hub-caps would look abit tacky, but can also depend on what colour the car is?

Martin.

Nah i understand ya, some nice lookin hub caps will do. Although alloys would be a much better lookin option some insurance companys dont like it.

Like direct line wont insure me with alloys..........dickheads.

If you dont want to spend the kind of money on alloy wheels and just want to keep with hub-caps then I strongly recommend getting propper Citroen items, they might be slight more expensive but they will suit the car alot better than aftermarkt hub-caps.

You will probally get more respect from a mod'd car owner for having a completely standard car in good condition than having a car with aftermarket hub-caps as most people see them as slightly tacky.

Have a word with a Citroen main dealers parts desk and see what they have in your size of wheel :y:

No, no and no again!

Please for the love of god do not get chrome hubcaps! lol. If you really don't wanna fork out for alloys straight away just pop into Halfrauds and get a decent set for £15-£20. I got a black set for mine for £19 and tbh they looked pretty good. In a few photos people even asked me what alloys I had! lol.

I got the missis a set of Gunmetal Grey Hub caps for her baby blue Mirca and loads of people have to 'double take' to make sure they are caps ;)

But on their second take they see that see parks by 'Feeling' not 'Sight' :err: . . . and at £35 a set I wasnt happy, but you try finding nice 15' hub-caps that look good on a micra lol

Lol, I was quite impressed when someone asked me what alloys I had, Including Cloud ;) lol. They're hubcaps love. lol. I sprayed the steelie black too so they blended in more though, only thing is makes the tyres look grey so had to keep buffering them up! grr

Haha dirtbag.

I made a bit of a boo-boo though, It was before I passed my test and I lived on a hill, used this paint stuff and decided that to get to the underneath I'd take off the handbrake and roll the car forward as I wasn't allowed to drive it. So get in, move forward 'BANG' :err: get out the car and I've ran over the tin with the paint in:oops: was all down the road and the tin was so sqaushed I couldn't fit the lid back on! haha. End of story! lol

I'll stop spamming your thread now :)
