Preperation to sell car?

Ok, what do i need to do when handing over the car? - documents wise? oh and this includes transfering a private reg back to me on retention.

would be very grateful to anyone who can help!

well they need to sign for the new keeper in the log book and then you need to send it off to the dvla

also give them the handbook that came with the car, any old tax discs, give them the mots, also if you have an hpi clear vsheet goes down well:)

i duno what you have to do with private plates mnate soz

you need to contact the dvla with regards to the private plate, and then put the original plates back on iirc

dude print out a recipt pn your pc write one out now with you name and address their name and address to let with the date the car is sold on also get an independent person to sign aswell so its all done properly and write what goes with the car what doesnt EG:- private reg and what the car is as well i know it sounds silly but you dont know who they are or what they will do or how they will drive it better to be safe than sorry !

All reciepts for any work done on the car. (Including new tyres etc)
If it has an alarm/tracker fitted make sure you give them the instruction manual.
