stupidly i have rubbed T-cut on my black wing mirrors and it has left a grey faded mark where i have rubbed...

i need a solution please... is back to black any good in this situation?
maybe WD40?

all i know is that the marks go when wet or polished only to return once dry!

its strange, because you can scratch it with a fingernail and the area you touch turns black... and then grey agen once you go back and have a look

Wouldnt use white spirt... might make it worse.

Only thing i can suggest is keep using back to black :clapping:

Polish and PC to fill the marks made rather than giving them that wet appearance before they dry out again

May need to get it resprayed if they are really bad, pics mate??

Back to black i dont think will work, for my bumpers and strips i use a strong Turtle wax solution with some water about 60/40 or 70/30, always works a treat :p

White spirit with water, wipe it down with a solution, dry it straight away then black to black, white spirit works really well pal

thanks everyone, just so you know i used WD40 rubbing it in and then i buffed it off and it has made the situation better but not got rid of the mark completely... i dont want to risk white spirit or anythin that strong... i will keep using WD40 and see if it solves it... when it dries out tho the white marks still re-apear lol

If it is just on the black plastic bit i cant see white spirit doing any harm. Just watch you dont get it on the paint work.

i just use auto glym bumper care. it eventually gets it off after a few washes but covers it in the mean time anyways

Back to black does work... Does on mine anyway, has got rid of the white marks... Just need to do it a few times, as soon as you wash the car it seems to wash off the black again, so you have to back to black the car trim parts every time you wash.

or just use a decent product that wont run at the first sight of water ^^
