yep i pay tax when im abraod, had a small rebate as the russian tax man wanted a share of some of my cash i earned in russia, got it back off the uk taxman but was worthless lol

can only get tax free when you spend less than 90days in the uk, working on the rig in the north sea is british waters so you are off land but still taxable!! even all of the stuff you get in the shop has tax wacked on them, should be duty free!

there are ways and means of bypassing the system, but i can not discuss this on a public forum as one of the TW@S may drive a saxo ;) if mr tax man is reading this now? i hope you choke on your tea tonight ;)

yep, my mate i work with was serving in iraq, he gets alot more for a weeks graft now, than he did for dodging bullets in iraq for a month! its crazy.

its hard to escape the tax man, but a good accountant can help you all the path of the rightious man ;)
worth paying the paying them a few quid if you are out of the country for a while, then you end up with a rebate, big fat cheque on the door mate, thankyou mr tax man, i will be going out to by a focus st with that ;) lol
