As above. Or use something that is lying in the house. Make sure it's soft tho. I would get a good wheel cleaning product. Makes it easier as most or the dirt will come straight off.

take them off and do them with a cloth, then poilish and wax them the wax will create a sealent so next time it comes to washing the dirst will come off alot easier

Step 1:

http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb78-79wash.html

Spray wheels with menzerna wheel gel, leave for then rinse off. Repeat the process until your happy the wheels are clean.

Step 2:

Apply a couple layers of poorboys wheel sealent, give it time before coats though so you get the full effect of it. This will reduce break dust in the future and give the wheels a nice shine. It also smells the shit..

I just use half an old sponge, and maybe a cheap wheel brush from tesco if it needs it. Squirt some wheel cleaner on to shift the shit and you should be sorted. For the really really stubborn stuff, you might need some degreaser, but it might be an idea to take the wheel off to do this. and then as said, to keep them cleaner for longer and to make them easier to clean, put a sealant on the alloy. AutoGlym Alloy Wheel Seal is pretty reccomendable!
