bollocks... for some reason my airbag light has just come on...
Never had the problem before. I have a 106 GTI interior in the paxo...
any ideas?

haha! something come loose? just give them all a wiggle, under the seat, under steering wheel and next to the buckle

yeah like behind the dash, if you look under the steering wheel you will notice you can undo the plastic shit, undo it and you will see what i mean

There are several places to check..
You want to be looking out for orange connection boxes.. there is one next to interior fuse box... one if you take off the steering column cover and then there is the two junctions under each of the two front seats...
If you can't sort it, i'll have a fiddle at our next mini-meet :)

you will have unplugged them to change interior yes? well i dunno if 106 interior has the same plugs but i changed myn to buckets and the light came on!
so probably cause there not connected maybe?

Mine used to do that in the 1.1.... Just came on randomly, and then went off randomly too!

wiggle the wires under the seat. always works for me. its just a looose connection. nothin to worry about but wont pas an mot

Well paxo seemed ok the last time i drove it... weird. lol
must have been a loose connection... but will keep an eye out :)

Apparently it will pass if its flashing, i was told that by an MOT garage. They just ask to get it sorted.
You can wire a fuse between the connections to so that the light doesnt come up anymore. The airbag wont work but theyre shite after so long anyway

yes it will pass the mot!!!! it will only be written on the mot cert as an advisory that its flashing

I took ALL the loom out and the box thingie that controls the system, and the light on the dash went out! LoL, how cool! :)

Look under your drivers seat/passenger seat should be some wires with connectors on them and in the ends are metal clips make sure your car is switched off,pull out the clip and put it back in then switch the iginition on and light should go out. hope this helps mate.
