you can phone them and they can tell you the nearest place to get one. i went to durham and they give you an appointment on the phone.
you go for the time they give you, fill all of the shit in, give them some photos and they give you a one in a day. cost £60 like.
i had to go and get 2, because im special ;-) 2 passports. im not a special agent or nothing, i swear lol just for getting visas for work and that.
its great when you get hassle abroad at airports and off the cops, they take your passport off you, im like big deal mate, have it. i will leave the country on my spare one :) swivel on that. they look at you as if you are in the SAS or something, just give you the other one straight back once they reaalise they are both genuine lmbo
its even better when they search you and find all of the id cards that i have, i must have about 40+ all with pics of me on for different sites etc.
it didnt work in russia tho, they detained me, they must have thourght i was doing something dodgy, i have that type of face i think lmbo

you can just go into the nearest place to you and they will sort it out for you, they will tell you what you need to do. im sure you can still get your first passport that way to.
best to go to the postoffice and get a form for a passport, then look on the back and call the number there, they will tell you your nearest place to get it done.
you may need to fill the form in that you got from the post office and have some one of aurthority sign your passport pictures to say that they have known you for x amount of years and that you are not dodgy.
i will sign it for you, for a small fee of course ;)
i will be the next PM, so i have authority ;)

It might be longer now though as it's 'Peak' season for holidays etc.
My cousin applied for one last year in June, got it checked at the postoffice for £20 or whatever it was. Few weeks later she got it sent back cos she'd filled it out wrong! lol. Still got it by the end of July though.
