hi does anyone know how to smoke mk1 headlights.....is it kust open the lenses and spray the chrome bits black?:drink:

just make sure you seal them proplerly and leave them to dry for atleast24hours or when you go out they will fill up with moisture

I had mine off, rubbed down, painted, and fitted within a couple of hours,
As ollyboy_saxo said though make sure they are sealed properly otherwise they will steam up all the time

Ben can imake a suggestion for your car ' sorry for hijacking thread' lose the headlight brows will look teh sex without them. Looks ace just asking to lose them !!:y:

i used gloss black dude. then to seal it with i used like a silicone stuff, was a bit of a mess job though :y:

spot on... got some in the shed :A: are they quite hard to split the lights?

you need to warm the original sealant up and really carefully prise them appart. I used mums oven ;) took about 5 mins in the oven. Probs best to get the old stuff completely off and replace it completely. ;)

dont forget its just the outer bit you need to rub down, primer, and spray. you'll see what i mean once you've got the lense off ;)
