Buy an air filter cleaning kit available from almost every parts/performance shop :y:

pipercross and I think Ramair tend to have foam filters, whereas K&N and Green use cotton. As long as you get the right product for the generic type of filter I wouldnt worry about being brand specific..

thats right it is has a foam around the filter....but when i went into halfrauds they said that they need to know if there's an 'element' inside etc....? I got an air filter with a plastic silver pipe from front of my bonnet to the filter, if i was to buy a new filter how would they be? just a filter?
my induction kit looks like this
