Even though I can't drive until next May I looked up a qoute on ecar insurance and they qouted me something like £300 fully comp on a saxo VTR 1.6 as my first car under my dads name with his ncb protected. Then I looked under my own name and it was £4000. But its weird because im with ebike insurance at the moment on my moped for £300 a year on tpft? :panic:

Does your dad look like a women? or maybe is a women? as that would make it super duper cheap

age and experience is a MASSIVE factor dude.

In the eyes of an insurer you're basically in the 'teenage, chavvy, boy racer' band whether you are or not, which is a bit pants but statisitcs show that first time young'ns are massively more likely to crash their car than someone with a couple of year experience under their belt.

But you get into the whole, 'It's illegal to be the Priority driver of a Named Driver policy' or something along those lines, I don't really know I just remember reading about how insurance companys don't like it when the Named Driver is using the car more than the Main insurer.
