Great idea.... I don't own a boy racer type car anymore, plus I don't drive like some of the muppets about nowadays, so I'm OK.

Sgt Scoles said police have been handing out 'Section 59' warning notices, which means that if the driver is stopped again within 12 months for anti-social driving, their car can be seized and impounded and only released after a £110 fee is paid.
Thats a tad harsh imo, We all know how much of a bastard the police can be!

My point exactly Nick....could have your car impounded if they THINK your being a twat
VTR_Nick
7th August 2007, 14:25
Well they said in the first place they gave it to me because i was going 30 mph when i was and i'm not talking shit actually doing bout 12 - 13 mph. so yeha i get your point it could be impounded jsut caus the police decide you where doing something rong. that what u mean tupps?

Yes thats what i mean....If a copper says you were doing something, what chance do you have of proving them wrong
It's soo easy to get accused wrongly by the law...

i quite often (most nights) sit in a deserted car park with 10 or so guys and their cars and talk, listen to music and just hang out, it's a car park away from the main road, with no visual of the road and the cops do come, but we know the cop and he doesn't mind in the slightest, aslong as we don't start doing stupid handbrake turns or burnouts he isn't fussed and regularly chats to us about our cars and gives us advice. Not all cops are bad luckily, just some are cocky c**ts.
Does this make me a boy racer? i don't think so, bunch of like minded people talking about a common interest.

I enjoy driving so im always around, ill park up and have a look at a few cars if theres any decent ones but when people start doing handbrakes etc i move on....
A car park is a good place to sit and have a chat, providing its out of the way. When you get older you have youre own house to go to or mates houses but when your 17 - 21 youre less likely to have somewhere to go and just chill out with loads of mates. But as always theres the minority that try and fuck it all up for us.
I suppose its a fine line between people who wanna have a chat about cars (like the sax-p meets) and generally have a laugh and those that park up sit in the car and just crank the music and wheelspin to fook!!!!
Although watching people get beat up when they bump someones car is one of my fave pasttimes....

FAO: people who sit in carparks...
cant you sit in a pub instead?
Tupps
7th August 2007, 15:44
Adam.....
Car enthusiasts (Chav's) probably sit in a car park, in their car (corsa) with their julies because julie is only 15 therefore is not allowed in a pub

I dont actually really understand this, When we was arranging a meet in Ashford other day we was going to meet and just sit in our cars - in a car park.
Does that make us chavs, who arnt old enough to get in a pub???
Oh and If i havent got the money to spend on booze then big woot. Im not really interested in drinking and never have been, but i am interested in keeping contact with my mates. And if none of us have our own house to sit in, cars the answer imo.

the car scene is pretty big down this way and coppers are always tryin to clamp down. there are loadsa nutters down here that do drive stupid and fair enough they should be taken off the road, i totally agree!
as for areas like devils point and guildhall in the article, it's a regular meetin place and they ain't in residential areas or nothing and no one really plays their music, it's jus really a social thing where loadsa cars meet...
