I've just had my spare wheel fall off for the second time, this time it hit a car!!! Police came and everything!!!

I know that last time this happened, others said it happened to them. So i thought lets get as many people's names of whom have been effected by this stupid Citroen Saxo fault!

Please vote on the polls and PM me your full name and address so I can send this to Citroen.

Mine is checked often because of the last time but still it happened again. Just don't know what to do. The other driver is claiming on me, which is fair enough. I just don't think i should get fucked by my insurance comp for something thats not my fault... its not anyone's fault :(

never had this problem..
and if my carriage did come loose, and fall down..
my cars so fcukin low the wheel wouldnt be able to scoot out from under my car.. so would most likely wreck the underside of my yoke, or else get caught under it, and throw my car off the road completely....

either way.. hope i never have this happen to me!!

You will be wasting your time, they will say it wasnt tightened up enough. If i was a really bad design fault they would of recalled it by now.

Payney

I'd just remove it, join up to a recovery company, and just leave the cage and spare off.

user fault, its your responsibility to check that its tight just the same as checking your oil, brake fluid, tyre pressures etc... is your responsibility.

Scott, Both my self and a qualified mechanic (My dad) checked this after the last time and a couple of weeks before this time.... I know its "my responsibility" but this is a stupid problem to have and at the end of the day, it shouldn't come undone.

Where can you buy tyre weld from?

sim69er
13th August 2007, 08:44
citroen wont do anything about it,

tbh not worth the effort in writing them a letter,

just remove it and carry a can of tyreweld in the boot and join the rac just incase you get a blowout

Its not a problem if you check it regularly. But your absolutely correct its your responsibility.

Maybe you should realise this is a fault, as with most cars that isn't rectified. And you need to find youre own solution.

IE Replace the existing spindle shite with a proper washer and bolt.

Had my spare wheel fall off, luckily it was late at night and no one was on the roads. I regualy use the motorways in rush hour! That would have been fun.....NOT!

My spare is behind the passenger seat now, the wheel holder is a bit rusty. THinking of getting a can of foam instead.
