Hi everyone, my first post on Saxperience, unfortunately it's about a car problem though!

I was wondering why my windscreen washers weren't working for a while now - finally got my hands dirty and had a look, there seems to be a leaking pipe at the bottom of the wiper fluid bottle, down by the driver side front tyre. Any fluid I put in just leaks out straight away from down there somewhere.

Anyway, I was wondering, as a car novice, is this something I could fix, or if not what kind of price would it cost at a garage? I assume it's just a new pipe needed but I can't really see under the car so I'm not sure....

Any help/info would be appreciated :y:

Like the site by the way!

im not an expert, but it won't cost much, take it down the garage. You'll be looking at less then £70 .....

you got the car lowered?? and what wheels do you have on, ie the profile of the tyre etc??

no, not lowered, just standard 14in tyres (it's an 01 saxo desire)

don't know much more than that sorry :)

I had this issue. Found the leak, wrapped insulation tape round it, covered the tape with glue. Problem solved

Right if its the pipe at the driver side wheel all you need to do is:

1) Take the wheel off

2) Take the arch liner off (black plastic cover) it just pops off

3) The if you look up you will see a tube that is very flexible, pull it and you will notice that its your washer pipe. There is a join somewhere alongside there. So you can pull it off the join and simply replace the pipe:y:

I did mine when I put my yellow silcone hosing in:y:

thanks guys, i get the impression it isn't too hard a job, if i can get my hands on some pipe / insulation tape and get the wheel off i'll give it a look myself.

thanks again!
