80k, thats about the same mileage as when i bought mine, and the same year.
the headgasket went at 85,000, check that the engine temp isnt rising above average, also check the oil and make sure it hasnt gone all manky.

ask to take it for a test drive :)

how much they asking?

thats a good price for a vtr. is it mk1 or mk2? not sure about the ax gearbox, have to ask someone with a bit more knowledge on the mechanical side for that. has it got FSH? if not, be wary. vt*'s are usually owned by people with a bit more money than me, but still drive like me ;)

lol Right best you dont text type as there a loads of international members who cant understand yeah i know where erskine is im in st.andrews fair distance lol.

FSH means full service history

Basicly just go with your own judgement make sure there bot yellow sort of sludge under oil cap make sur eit run and drives ok no rattles ect ask about what the owners done if you not sure get the rac two have a look. But basicly dont let you heart rule your head you may want a vtr but if these ones not decent theres plenty more of them about.

My only advice would be look for a standard VTR and dont buy one thats been modified because its more likely that its been thrashed!

Oh an welcome to the site :y:

Well all I'll say is I started with a 1.1 ltr Fiesta, only just got a VTR. 4 yrs driving.

Good driver and REALLY appreciate the speed etc.

Worth it IMO.
