some have a lot of wires mate, as they have a seperate unit, usually called the hideaway unit or brain, i think the pioneer one with built in sat nav doesnt come with the brain though am not sure
my pioneer one does, i had to re wire it all up, there is a wire you have to connect to the handbrake so the dvd function only works when the hand brake is on but you can bypass that by earthing it :p
i wired in a saxo iso to my dvd player, just basically the same as normal units, then after that its all plug and play wires, it does look a bitdaunting when you see one out of the box with all the wires and that but tbh its very easy indeed :y:

You can get a special clip from motorworld what just cuts into the earth on the radio and the one on the dvd player joining them

dont see an advantage of togling to start your car whatever that may mean..... use a key like a normal person and play on your ps2 inside your house, presuming you live in a house.
