Hi,
Looking to get a new Optical Drive for my PC - this one here sounds like its falling apart. What's about at the mo and worth getting?

I've been reading about using an SPDIF interface to my soundcard for a pure digital signal, no analogue connection. Looked at my Soundcard (Soundblaster 24bit) and it aint got SPDIF connection  What's an affordable and half decent replacement?

Please describe the assembly and connection sequence for digital sound.
ATA, SATA, SPDIF, IDE - I aint got a bloody clue - HELP!

on the soundcard basis... depending on your model of soundblaster you can buy the breakout box add on... this'll give you optical in/out, S/PDIF in/out, aux in, line in, headphone, MIDI in/out.

If you're feeling frivolous then look at the latest range of SB's

the X-fi....

excellent card

Excellent,
Just noticed my L plate changed to an infrequent poster! Bonus!
