Was following a VTR the otherday (weymouth area) and he had flames popping out of his/her exhaust.

Now iam interested what do i need to do to get this?

Decat?
Center Section?
Manifold?

Currently got a Cybox rear silencer (4" straight cut) and that sounds fantastic alough slightly boomy on long journys....dossnt bother me i just turn stereo up!

what do i need for flame-age!

are you sure it wasnt just a flammer kit? rather than performance mods?

My VTS bangs when changing gear after hitting the redline, just like a backfire noise when you change gear. I'm pretty sure there would be a bit of a flame with it too but thats the only time i'd expect it to flame. It has a 4-2-1 and magnex ss system with centre box. It burbles a bit when slowing down and coming down the gears too which sounds nice

you want the exhaust gases to come out fast and hot, get a straight through race exhaust which will decat your car. You basically dont want any baffles to stop the flame either. Maybe worth fitting a heat wrapped manifold too.

mine flames with staight through powerflow, and 4-2-1 as said above does it on gear change when it pops and bangs

never seen a VTR spit flames with performance mods.

Seen a few VTS do it,
probably overfuelling slightly with straight through exhausts.

Straight through exhasts is the way forward, mate got turbo back straight through exhaust on his GTIR spits flames bangs for fun!!

Good when people up on your arse on the motorway!! Set fire to their bumper!!!

My VTR spits and splutters now and then when change down and letting off the gas pedal. 1st gear is a good one!
