The estimated retail price of the Xbox 360 in Europe will be lowered from this Friday, and prices for the Elite console and black Elite accessories out this week have been announced. All the details are in the pasted press release, but here are the essentials:

IMPORTANT - all prices are estimated retail prices (ERP) and are valid from Friday, August 24:

Cloud mate with you on the PS, mate we dont need to pay that extra money for all the plug and ply kits, does it all itself, might not have Rainbow 6, but you have to pay loads more for a HD DVD drive, and what to weget, oh yeah blu-ray at no extra cost, multie region games, aghh life is soo fun:D

.....except when HD dominates Blue ray and they have to remake the PS3 with HD lasers instead of Blu-Ray ;)

LOL yeah blue ray drive at no extra cost, the console just costs £200 more than a 360. Even when you buy a 360 with a HD DVD drive it's still £100 cheaper than a PS3. I think I can live with paying £15 for a plug and play kit.
