Hi, I need help... my Saxo VTR ( Y Reg) seems to blow the fuel pump fuse when driving on the motorway. It happens seemingly at random and causes the car to lose power and stop. I have taken the car to the garage, an auto electrician has checked my loom, no breaks and all is ok. My fuel pump and sender unit has been replaced. I drove out of garage tonight, took the car on motorway and same problem, my fuel pump fuse blows.

Anyone? any ideas?

the relay connected to the fuel pump has been replaced also... the wierd thing is that when it blows the fuse it makes a tapping/popping noise on the fuel tank until i switch the ignition off.
