cuts out on starting ?? HELP !

erm...well every soo often once or twice a week i got to start my car nd then it suddenly goes cuts as soon as i turn the key and other times its just fine and starts straight away soo to resolve the problem i have to go under the hood take off the positive wire and put it back on it then starts but another week on nd it will cut out does ayone have any idea of whats wrong and how i can overcome this??

crank shaft sensor, spark plugs, ignition coils. How old is your battery? May need changing. Best bet is to take it to a garage and get them to run a diagnostic on the car. That will tell you exactly what the prbolem is. I believe it costs about £25-£30 for a diagnostic.

ok well thanks mate ive just replaced the battery it didnt use to do it before with the old battery :S .....wud all the problems u suggested it cud be wud they be alot of money to fix?
