Is it possible to have an amp and sub and all that malarkee with the standard headunit? I'm thinking about changing the aftermarket one tbh, and going back standard....

Opinions?

you can, but i wouldnt. you can get something to change 2 speaker wires into rca outputs. which would allow you to run an amp but you wont have any control of the bass etc. also you will loose 2 speakers, unless you connected them to the remaining 2. it would be a bit of a bodge job though. not something i would ever do.

it is possible mate as said you will need a speaker to RCA adaptor

and then you can use the switched live for a remote wire :y: id put it on a switch though :y:

i sort of answered a question llike this before:

You can buy amplifiers that accept hi level inputs... such as some pioneer and vibe jobbies do now...

You could also get a JL audio clean sweep. This is the king. Its about £400 though lol, but you can run any amps from any headunit with it. perfect if you want to keep a standard look up front, so thieves dont get excited :)

Those high level low level convertors, are only about £12... available from Car audio security. vibe make one, and directed electronics make one also, at about £20 iirc... Stinger make one aswel, but that probably costs the aerth like most of their stuff does.

hope that helps?
