Hi people,
How hard is it to trim with fake leather or carpet - wanting to do a boot build but not a clue how its trimmed?
Any pointers are a big help :)

pretty easy mate, just some spray glue on the mdf let it dry and trim it, its best if you can trim the panels seperate but the problem is when you have to screw it back together you will see the screws, you could use some brackets to fix it on the inside and some glue too i suppose
if you have a router id router all the corners off too :y:

ave got carpet on mines. what i did was, use glue to stick the carpet down. trim round the area and used a normal stapler on the back to keep it tight. then i got the knife to cut a few slices in the area`s where i was going to screw the floor down. when i put the screws in i put a wee bit glue on the top of the screw and put the carpet where i sliced on top of it. so now its screwed down with the carpet on top and no screw heads showing. if that make any sense.

If it's a flase floor you can just use a staple gun but just make sure you pull it tight, but i think the box could be a bit hard to use a staple gun maybe use some spray glue.
