this year exactly same only

how can they just knock off nearly 900 notes

1k sounds expensive to me...I can get insured fully comp on a VTS for £800;)

Still does sound high Karl, im paying £550 Fully comp, with breakdown cover. All mods declared with like for like including:
Alloys
Backbox
manifold (to be add but no extra cost)
Strut braces (to be add but no extra cost)
Smoked lights all round
Grille
Sounds System
Induction Kit

Sounds cheap to me karl, although you do live in fairyland where no crimes happen!
I can get insured cheaper on a 172 than a vts????
