Those costs are for administration... if you go overdrawn you can't claim it back cos its in the t&c's

hey dude i done my charges back at the begining of the year and got it all back, but not sure you can do it now??
go to a web site called( PENALTYCHARGES.CO.UK) i found all i needed to on there,i manage to settle out of court for 3500 thats for a 6 yrs period of charges.
your bank will close your account once you get ya money so have another account open at another bank,
if you have any probs just ask me, its a long drawn out process be just do as it say at the website.
the only thing is that LLoyds was taken to court for outradgess charges bout 7 months ago and managed to win, so now the ombasman has got together with all high st banks to find a suitible amount for charges.
not sure when this is due to take affect,so you better be quick
oh and if PENALTYCHARGES.CO.UK does't make sense check out MARTINSMONEY TIPS.
HOPE THIS IS USEFUL.

I got 2800 back from HSBC thanks to a company called Financial Recoveries. Found them when I googled bank charges. They even charged HSBC interest! Which covered the cut they took from the claim. Would have been 3200 before they took their bit. Quite a large cut but I wouldn't have done it otherwise, they even represented me at court.

guys you dont need any companies to do that, its very simple to, i aint no genius and i got it done all in bout 3-4 months.
so anyone want more info just ask me, i can assure you its as easy as 1,2,3
all you need is persiveerance and dont let the big words and statements they send you(and they will) intimidate you.
if you want YOUR! money and its YOURS!! by law as the banks can not justify why they charge that amount

i think you should just go in to the bank because thats what i did and i got my money back, even if you get some back better than nothing, normally all banks will give it back tyhe very first time you do it, thats what i have found anyway.

Luckily I havn't been charged anything as of yet, as all my debits have money in the bank, hope you get the money back, probably take forever though.

Don't spend money you haven't got.... easiest way of stopping the charges!

The £30 is for Administration and also the fact that they had to fork out the money to pay what you couldn't.

simple resolution really. Make sure you have the money in the bank ;)

Iv only once had a charge and that was becasue they charged me too much on a direct debit, banked cleared it and gave me the charge back as it wasnt my fault. Happy days.

well i dont think it costs 30 for an automated letter to be sent out, and the banks take DD and SO out 1min after minight, its hard to not get charges when they do that,i was self employed and paid my money in every month, not always on the same day,but you cant change the days of a DD or SO every month,so that alone is where they catch you out,
ANYONE WANT ADVICE ON CLAIMING MONEY BACK GIMME A SHOUT I WILL GIVE YOU SOME ADIVE.

i actually work for RBS who owns natwest... so when i went overdrawn i got my charges refunded :) but weve dropped charges on credit cards to 12 quid so its legal, so maybe they overcharged you with 30 quid and youll actually get some money back :y:

Baz

exactly what Chris said.....could always get an overdraft of say £50 incase you do it again. Thats what ive done :)

CharlieBoy
30th August 2007, 16:26
I DO HAVE AN OVERDRAFT. A £1000 ONE,BUT THE BANK STILL INSITED IN MAKIN CHARGES THEY COULD NOT JUSTIFY,
SO SCREW THE BANKS,HE IS AN EXAMPLE
I used my debit card to fuel up, got to the till and my card was rejected due to insufficent funds,i thought thats rubbish, so i had to get the mrs to pay.
they declined my card because they had charged me for a missuse of my card,i would have been 75p over my limit if they had let it go through, which is nothing, but instead i ended up payin £30 for missuse and a 20 fee for something stupid.
WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN EASIER??
i had been with my bank since i was at school, never had a bad history with them all my payments where on time, so why they think they can just slap charges on your account for such stupid things is papostrass(cant spell for shit)
so i think everyone is entitled to there money back!!

CharlieBoy

charges on credit cards are lowered but wat bout on current accounts??? they are still overcharging people,CORRECT!!
THE IS NO JUSTIFICATION FOR A 30 CHARGE FOR A COMPUTER TO SEND OUT A LETTER!!!
