Changing the Clutch
This guide was developed for a Citroen Saxo 1.6 VTR (8v) NFT engine, however the principles apply to other models also.
Symptoms:

1) Lubricate the differential tapered roller bearing outer race
2) Lubricate both of the differential tapered roller bearings and fit the differential
3) Fit the reverse gear selector arm pivot tensioning spring mechanism

1) Clean the gearbox cases and mount and paint them if you desire. Using a flat knife blade and a solvent cleaner, such a brake cleaner, clean all of the gearbox case mating surfaces of old sealant gasket.

Drain the gearbox of transmission fluid. Watch for any metal chunks that may be washed out of the gearbox. See the first 10 steps of Simo’s “Draining/Filling the Saxo Gearbox Oil”
Remove the gearbox.

b. Make written notes as you go
