My girlfriend gave me the weekend off!! :-)

Posted 27th March 2015 at 17:34 by PeterBear

So... With a little bit of cash...I bought a few new parts for my tired Furio... and so I'm going to give it a little bit of attention and love this weekend... photo's and updates to follow... but it starts in earnest now...

On the menu is the following:
1. Engine flush and oil change
2. Gearbox flush and oil change
3. Fix leaking aerial
4. Rip out front shocks and drive shafts.
5. Replace with KYB Ultra SR's, new drive shafts, oil seals and new wheel bearings.
6. Remove rear shocks.
7. Replace with KYB equivalents.
...No...

Couple of pictures

Posted 16th November 2014 at 16:38 by sexysaxo_dan

Just a couple of pictures I've taken since having the saxo, more to come.

Picture of the pumpkin when i went to kimmeridge bay. Got wheels trims on i know, but will soon be swapped for VTS alloys!

Love the saxes ass, would like to get rid of the badges etc and have it smoothed, but its not likely to happen.

The engine bay. When i had my 50+ bhp pod filter, haven't taken a photo with my BMC...

Updated 16th November 2014 at 16:40 by sexysaxo_dan

Just going to do a little blog, cheers if you having a look!

My Saxo is a 1.4l 8v Furio. Im only doing subtle mods as i know the 1.4 isn't the best saxo but to be honest is my first car and don't really want to bother buying a 16v engine as id rather buy a new car.

I bought my saxo completely bog standard. Ive had it for about 1 and a half years now ( bought it way before i passed my test ) and i love it! Even though i do get it ripped out of me over the colour!

So far i have done the following mods:
-Blue pod filter
-Engine...

Posted 20th October 2014 at 15:30 by dswhittle89

Ok, so i thought i would start a blog, i will use this as a progress feed for my VTR that i am buying Monday.

Its had a view mods which are listed on my profile. but i shall be adding a few more, in time.

I'm just wanting it to look clean neat and tidy and have a few performance mods that boost the BHP.

A clean exterior & Interior. And a mint looking engine bay. If i achieve this ill be happy.

Boredom At Work

Been a while since I wrote a blog about this piece of French tin that I cannot let go.

Got it through the dreaded MOT without too much effort but for the first time it has needed some help with a "welder" and I will that term loosely. So much that if I have the spare time and a spare sill I will fix the part that they were supposed to fix. Unfortunate as it is the car isn't on the road and I don't see it being back on the road this year.

Slowly going about the interior and parts of the engine bay.

The interior as stated in previous...

Accident damage uncovered.

Posted 27th February 2013 at 08:11 by NismoSteve

It seems the GTi has had an altercation with an object at some point in the past, and this had been dealt with in a bit of a poor way. The near side front inner wing had rust under the fusebox, and on investigation with a wire wheel I found it had been half replaced, and welded, then fillered up!
Luckily I can do what should have been done to start with and replace that whole section.
But first I need to wait for the engine and box to arrive so I can start test fitting it. Should be here on Friday I hope, then once that fits okay I can start with rebuilding the engine bay and getting...
