right my dad took the ecu off today and found there was 3 or 4 rust holes about the size of a 1p today which is not good news but in the morning my dad will be making a plate up for it and welding it on so should be sorted.

but i will possibly spraying the strut brace tommorow and was wondering what colour i should do it.

either

black

or

dark grey like the wheels

suggestions please??

Liam-westcoast 28th February 2010 17:24

picture of rust

Liam-westcoast 2nd March 2010 21:43

right got these pictures sent to me with the plate nearly done just needs tidying up, but looks pretty good so far and i am happy with it.

i hope to sort out some new driveshafts and struts as i have a mixture of each on this one lol, and need to sor out some primer for the strut brace.

i will laso check under the car to check if there is any more rust

cheers

fastroadkid69 5th March 2010 23:52

looks better with the plate welded in now, anymore updates liam?

Liam-westcoast 6th March 2010 11:19

hi mate, cheers yeah the plate looks really good in there needs to be tidied up a bit and sprayed with the ecu tray. erm only other updates is both struts are off and the coil pack, ecu and fuse covers are on and look great.

i am also in the process of spraying the strut brace satin black!

i also hope to pick up some struts and driveshafts today

cheers

Have you got wheel arch liners in ?

As most of the cars I see with bad rust on the wings have no wheel arch liners in.

Liam-westcoast 6th March 2010 11:45

when i bought this i don't think it did as it had quite a few things of or missing but i might have some in my garage and i will fit them.

cheers
