Cheers mate. Why did you not go to the meet?

I do also have carbon fibre doorcards, fuel pump covers etc fitted now, I will get some pics up when it stops raining.

jdizzy 19th July 2009 21:42

because it's near the end of the moth and I only have petrol monies to get to work and back lol

ahh cool, is it raining bad?

makaveli144 3rd August 2009 20:08

Quite a large update, over the past few weeks I have:

Stripped the seats, sound proofing etc out of the car
Painted the boot floor etc Maritius Blue
Fitted carbon fibre bungs, rear door cards, front door cards, fuel pump covers etc.
Fitted flocked 106 handles and door bins

The front doors do need spraying but I will do that when I get around to it.

Heres a few pics, not the best unfortunately:

There is only the new wheel left to put on, then a general tidying up of things to make the car more presentable, so spraying the front doors and sorting the engine bay.

jdizzy 3rd August 2009 20:30

haha was thinking the same as u Paul lol

makaveli144 3rd August 2009 20:30

Also the finish on the boot floor is better than it looks, its dirty from when it rained and I had the windows open.

It did take quite an effort because its a big area, and I needed more paint than I thought. Does make it look so much neater though.

vtr_chris90 3rd August 2009 21:11

ahhh how much paint did you get through then?

yer i do agree looks so tidy now

Well my colour had to be custom mixed so only came in 300ml cans I think and I used about 4.

vtr_chris90 3rd August 2009 21:19

ahhhh right that sucks a little then

but thats not too much then i spose i was thinking it would be more than that lol

Yea but it cost £13.99 a tin. Yea two coats of primer and two coats of laquer.

vtr_chris90 3rd August 2009 21:24

ouch thats a fair amount lol but still well worth it though ;)

ahhh ok now i know what to do lol not sure when ill get mine done hopefully soon though

i wanna concentrate on getting the car running properly first and all the bits i have fitted then im going to tidy up the car

soooo u got many more plans up your sleeve?

Yea thats what I did.

I almost consider the car finished, just get everything looking sweet and fit my steering wheel when it comes then it will be it. Well at least thats what I think.
