Looking good Lewis:y: you going to FCS?

Tom5190 8th February 2010 18:13

looks good, what setup is on the front? just springs? i found that my G-max 50mm's didnt really lower it that much at all, its possible to get it another 20mm at the front i think with some shortened dampers and 60mm springs

Mark transferred his VTR 50mm springs, so on a 1.1 it only lowers about 35mm ish but no uprated damper at all although i wouldnt mind upgrading. Id rather drop the front about another 10mm and raise the rear about 20mm but im very happy as it is :)

Tom5190 8th February 2010 18:21

Yea man well its sitting pretty much identical to mine and ive got 50mm's on the front! think mines going down more at the front as i want the rear to stay the same but dont want all this reverse rake haha

not intrested in my rear splitter are you?

hehe, thats what i like hearing! i wish my 1.1 was looking as good, its booked into the body shop on wednesday as some c**t ploughed into the side of it :( left me a nice dent.. and given away no details

blackvtrt 8th February 2010 19:08

looks nice, need to raise the rear slightly or drop the front abit more. Get rid of them reflectors, standard petrol cap & loose the rear wiper & will look tidy.

I was thinking about raising the rear 20mm just to balance it out, im taking off the reflectors ASAP, rear wiper failed the first time lol and the idiot who owned the car before me didnt give me the standard lock :wall:

dankzy 8th February 2010 21:17

girlracer317 8th February 2010 21:18

Yea mate i think due to the sub and the worn dampers the cars sitting about 70mm, i mite have to get craig to raise it 20mm one day.

Cheers! :D Yea 50mm all round is quite popular, especially with coilovers, you can go however low you want if there is a spring available in this case there was ;)

Mcinabout 8th February 2010 22:06

aha nah the mods never stop, i change my mind like everyday and always see something i want, thank god the interiors nearly done for now lol. But im sure something will pop up lol.

Lewis 8th February 2010 22:12

Lol ive not even started on the interior, its the big three: Interior, performance and visuals. Personally i keep changing my mind about flatarch vs VT kit. I think im gonna go for Tints, de-wiper, ibiza + laguna splitter, VT kit, refurb wheels anthrite, new tyres and then mabey dress up the engine a tad. :D At least thats where im up to on the list so far ^_^

Mcinabout 8th February 2010 22:15

Aha yeah i know what you mine. im going to keep mine a flatarch. Yeah ive got bigger jobs on my list now:y: Exterior mainly, and cleaning up the engine bay probs, but thatll prob be a summer job lol.
