thanks mate always good for some support :)

By the way the crash damaged my fan so im currently running with no fan :S. luckily it just sits above half way (as it did before crash) so im not worrying. However after xmas i concentrate on putting a GTI/VTS dual fan install in and popping in the power steering slab. ATM all monies is going on cosmetics and xmas prezzys :P. Hopwever if you have a GTI/VTS fan give us a shout ;) ty

A new era

Today a nice man in a big white van arrived at my door with a clipboard. A quick signature later he landed me with this:

Then after a whack on the head from the old one:wall: it looked like this:

Took some chevrons of the old one to finalise it and then it finshed like this:

:fcuk: Time for a brew :

Job well done :)

PS 15mm bonnet raISERS look silly?

Azza-VTR 11th December 2009 17:24

Paint the chevrons blue, get some black halos and u'll be onto a winner I think however won't it restrict airflow to the engine?

xxo0pko0xx 11th December 2009 17:50

Yes mate it does but to cool engine I've put some 15mm bonnet raisers on to help keep heat out

Azza-VTR 11th December 2009 17:56

Just a thought but won't the bonnet being raised mean that it will be more prone to getting water in the bay?

xxo0pko0xx 11th December 2009 18:09

NOt think of that but it's raised at back not front so not as much will get in

Azza-VTR 11th December 2009 18:30

I suppose so lmao but I bet the engine will get a bit hot in the traffic if theres no wind
keep up the good progress mate :y:

xxo0pko0xx 11th December 2009 18:43

Tar mate got a bonnet pin kit but cba 2 drill holes for it so I'll save that for another day

Azza-VTR 11th December 2009 18:46

I recon you should get a sunvisor and some comedy stickers for the edge of the bonnet whilst its unpainted
Like the ones I shown you in pink
