Spoke to Craig earlier and PM'd Wide-vtr-turbo :y:

I don't know tbh, might just end up getting them done in matt black so that the engine bay isn't too lairy - will see when the project is well underway !!

Worrying about colours is the least of my worries !

lol, that's my accounting side coming out  as strange as it is I love playing with numbers !

Thanks !! Looking forward to having the spare £££ and time to get the car out on the track next summer, I'm holding onto the dream of taking it to the 'ring' one day once it's all back together in 2011 !

Mate you have to come on our west mids trip. So many good cars going this year so next year will be insane. Even if you only manage to get one track day in then its a starting point. Come with us to Mallory or something.

Yeh that'd be awesome!

I'm aiming to get the car done ready for the spring 2011 so should be good for some track action!

Would be cool to just get some experience out on the track us a bit of advice from guys that've done a lot of track time! 15mins at Silverstone just wetted my appetite, plus with it being a second car can enjoy it on the track properly!

Aron 11th March 2010 22:28

Yea i am hoping to get plently of time in this year on track so you will have to come down and come out with us and do some physical learning instead of your book learning! ;)

Yeh definitely, still got another 3years of book learning after uni but is no worries!

I'd love to get some tracktime, can be a shite driver in a powerful car and still be slow on track! Just want some experience/passenger rides to see lines etc.

I'll keep my eye on the west mids section - moving to Bristol in August so will have to get myself across to llandow and whatever the track is by Chippenham.

Would need the mounts sorting out so could have it at any height on the rear and at any angle, but car wouldn't have s1600 arches..... yet

If I had the money to widetrack then it'd 100% be done, the bodykit itself isn't the problem, it's the front suspension that's a bitch!!

Maybe with more time on my hands but got to get this engine built, mapped and some miles put on it ready for next summer!!

A mk1 s1600 would be the tits, plus should have some power to match!

You going any wilder (engine wise) with the Clio?

jpsaxo 12th March 2010 08:46

Ill be back in the UK at the end of this year unless i can think of any other excuses not to be.... so will be arranging a few track days for us around this time next year Aron/Raunchz. Would love to do the new silverstone arena track layout....

Aron 12th March 2010 08:55

By silverstone areana do you mean the inner track as the main circuit is boring.

Yes Ross it can be done for an ok amount. Just need to work out the measurements correct and know a good machinist.

My engine may go wilder at the end of the summer but fir now it's just going to be hooliganed around on some tracks

raunchz 12th March 2010 09:40

For anyone that's interested - got a brand new alloy Be driveshaft carrier through today, it bolts directly onto the TU block, eBay price of £14 delivered = bargain

jpsaxo 12th March 2010 12:38

No Aron the new F1 circuit which makes use of the new areas of the track which are currently being built!
