When funds allow dude, when funds allow.

New brake pad's have been ordered and she's getting a set of T1R's within the next few week's. Could do without spending on them tbh so i can keep saving for a new bike, but safety has to come first.

Not an update as such - but i'm bored so thought i'd just let you all know...

Booked in for a custom backbox to be made on Monday. Going to be a Stealth item so it looks standard but has a bit more noise.
The system on atm is a cat back, so will just use the Mongoose centre with the new backbox.

Also ordered a Forge silicone induction hose in red. Eventually i'll be having Forge red coolant hoses to compliment :)

CHIP 14th March 2011 14:55

Righty-ho folks,

Been and had the new exhaust made this morning.

The good thing is it looks so much better and the exhaust is really well made. Very happy with it... Except it's too loud  I told them i wanted it a little bit louder than the Mongoose as that basically sounded standard but that i didn't want it too loud so it attracted attention.

I'll see how i get on for now but on the ride home i was quite dis-heartened with it tbh.

Just waiting for my Forge Silicone Induction Elbow now and my later style Renault Sport badge for the boot.

If your not happy with it from the start mate I'd just take it back. Doubt you'll grow too like it if you think its too loud now.

andywiddss1 14th March 2011 18:37

or sell it me cheap mate

CHIP 14th March 2011 18:45

Haha, well i've had another look and i think the rubber mounting's they've used are too hard - thus making it resonate in the car.

My dad say's when i drive down the street it doesn't sound that loud, so i might try some different rubber's in next day or so to make sure.

andywiddss1 14th March 2011 18:47

dont think it will be the rubbers mate ,u still got a cat on and middle box

lt-saxslo 14th March 2011 18:48

Exhausts UK in Sheffield :y:

My mate had his Supra, V5 Golf, Seat FR, Accord & a few others done there and never had a problem before.

lt-saxslo 14th March 2011 18:53

maybe abit far for me then lol

Tontsy 14th March 2011 18:55

Dont forget you have to give it time to bed in dude.
The insides all phresh, so theee is no carbon built up, to deaden the sound.

Youll find after about 500 miles it will quietdown a bit.

Looks smartthough not being on show!
I really want a 172 because of you, dick head!

As much as you do talk sense you can suck on my balls, ya bellend :panic:

CHIP 16th March 2011 22:36

Right, so i've actually got used to the exhaust... It doesn't bother me too much now, but i miss the raspiness that the Saxo had with the manifold etc. So the Clio's booked in for a de-cat on Friday haha.

Then i must stop spending for a while!

Oh and my boot badge has arrived but still no sign of the silicone induction bend.

Your GSXR? Lol.

And i'm not selling up! :P I'm actually starting to bond with the car a bit now. It's took some time for it to start happening if i'm honest but it's happening.

Had the De-cat made today. Sounds very nice imo. Love it, it's really different sounding.
