Thats the point Ross i have sent those photo's cause i did exactly what you did screen shotted them and sent them to Giles.

I know what head you mean the combustion chamber should have a figure of 8 outline i was confused by that at first hencing contacting giles. also seid this would be ok also:

I will supply you a phase 2 complete engine as per spec.

The engine done 41K

i will check the big ends bearings
Stripp and clean the oil pump
Strip cylinder head and blue print ,as per regs
Fit new water pump and timing belt kit
Fit head gasket + new head bolts
Remove your old engine & fit this engine


We will need to convert your L4 car to run L3 (Phase 1 /phase 2 injection system) I would strongly suggest you speak to the scrutineers about this, as you car is a L4 car 98bhp car. Will they let you run the 98bhp loom & ecu onto a phase 1 & phase 2 engine ?


To which the scrutineers responded back with this

Hi David,

In our regs, section 5.7.7, the ecu is free, and by default the wiring to the ecu and sensors is also free. What you cant do is add extra sensors to the engine/ecu system.

This means you can fit an after market ecu like omex, emerald etc, you dont need to keep the citroen one [yes to start with but later on change the ecu]

The difference is a return off the fuel rail... And both are legal... Why dont you read the rules yourself... Its only 13-14 pages long... Plus a few from msa k section...

Im dslexic and have troble reading what you guys have put let alone reading a rule book i have left all this to the pro's but most of you dont like who i have building my engine which is fair enough but its the constant going on and on about it

Clerk of the course aint a scruitineer... The problems you have can be resolved in the rules... Once you have a clear understanding of what can or cant be done then people will help you but its getting boring keep telling you the same rules and showing you what can or cant be used and yet you ignore it, tell us its ok and its clearly an infringement...

To be fair does it really matter what i have or not aslong as the scrutineers are happy with the car and its built to the proper regs as to what the engine builders has then i aint worrying cause it wont be me paying it if the engine's wrong.

So whos paying the traveling costs and entrance fee. food for the week end and running costs of the car. if you do all that and turn up and they say your engine is wrong and your not racing. who covers all yhe costs

The engine is wrong... Weve tried to tell you... Tried to tell you last year... Tried to tell you many things... But you dont seem to want to listen... If someone says something you dont agree with then dont tell them their a prick... Try asking them why they think that... Youd learn more and be further with your build...

Anyone that gets called a prick from me only gets called a prick for a reason i dont give out abuse cause i like to i give it cause im sick of people abusing me its like the fooking jimmy savil thread here. im not getting into a discussion of who is paying who this is a build thread nothing else once the car is finished i will put everything that has been done to the car down minus the technical stuff cause thats for me to know and sort on track. if anything is not meant to be on the car it WILL be changed and i wont tollerate bullshit from anyone especially hiflowheads and others that are building parts for the car.
