Also, can those bulbs be used for the rear indicators as well, or just the front?

thanks for the comments guys :)

Yeah mark, they can be used for the rear, but there's no point unless they're clear rears :)

jaystar89 31st July 2009 23:04

lol at ur signiture :P glad you like my compliment - what induction kit you got mate?

im seriously thinkin about buyin a vtr for cheap (standard) and keeping it in the garage and havin it as a project car and stoping the mods im doing to the motor ive got now. theres just alot of things i wana do to my car but couldnt afford to do them. Now im working full time again, i recon i can.

benJee_VTR 31st July 2009 23:08

haha no worries, thought it was sig worthy :P I have no idea what the carbon induction kit is, bit it has a green cotton filter. No idea of the brand of the enclosure, trying to find out myself lol.

Phsyco_Paff 1st August 2009 14:36

just read the whole way through lol great mate really mean it just gives me more insparation to get mine done also likeing the polished bits ;)

jaystar89 2nd August 2009 01:14

jallen 2nd August 2009 15:50

Ah right, you have any pics of it? might be able to help. The induction might fit, with a bit of modding, but im not sure myself. I would have thought swapping the furio engine for a vtr wouldnt be too bad for someone mechanically minded, with help, but you'd need an engine hoist and a fair few hours spare lol. tbh i wouldnt bother for a vtr engine, the difference from the furio to vtr isnt a massive amount..especially for the effort. I am considering a vts conversion in a year or two on mine, purely because of all the work ive put into this car, plus, i know what's been done to my car, whereas if i buy a new vts, id probs have to do everything ive already done to the 's lol.
Good luck if you do get it though, keep me posted :y:

Update

Update

Right got some pics of my new GTI Leather, and a few pics from a cleaning sesh today.

I used Meguiars Soft wash gel applied with Megs soft wash mit and dried with Autoglym chamois. Then used Lucas Paint Gloss Intensifier and finished with Meguiars Carnauba Wax. I used Autogylm Traffic Film Remover to clean the wheels with Autoglym Show and Shine on the lacquer, with Meguiars Hot Tyre Shine as the tyre dressing. Cleaned all the sills and innards too.

For the leather, i used Kleeneze Leather Cleaner and Meguiars Gold Class Leather Conditioner. Autogroom Foaming Upholstery Cleaner on the Alcantara.
Meguiars Ultimate Trim Detailer on the dash and plastics.

Pics:

benJee_VTR 19th August 2009 16:58

Have also ordered my pressed plates from Dubmeister too, so hopefully will receive them in time for TRAX.

benJee_VTR 20th August 2009 22:50

To do before TRAX:

- fit pressed plates
- get bumpers sitting more flush
- remove rear diffuser
- re-polish rocker cover
- touch up any body imperfections

That's all for now
