R.I.P Gav. I never personally met you, only knew you on here but you were a credit to sax-p. My thoughts are with your family & friends you will be missed.

Mr_P 18th February 2010 21:57

This is such a shock. RIP Gav.

I was actually working down West yesterday and heard about an accident on the radio. Can only imagine it was this.

Never knew the bloke personally but was a credit to sax-p and car enthusiasts everywhere.

I would like to pass my condolences onto his close friends and family and assure them he will be truly missed. But I imagine.... him being him, that he would want everybody to remember all the good times and celebrate his life :y:

Such a top bloke :)

funnily enough I came across those pics from that particular spamnight - that was some awesome spam, nearly failed my degree because of it though...

sim69er 19th February 2010 08:10

Rip Gav,

You were such a good guy, remember the first time i met you at the rolling road day with your black vtr/s

and so chuffed that it made a good figure.

Also all the other shows when we would bump into each other.

Cal 19th February 2010 08:56

I used to love spamming with Gavman... legendary stuff. Still hasen't sunk in.

leeroybrown 19th February 2010 10:44

Finally sunk in for me.

Am sure he is in a better place looking down on us.

Just got to get on with now, with look forward to FCS if anything happens for him :}

Predator_R32 19th February 2010 10:55

We already have a parade lap at dinnertime so we can use that for him

leeroybrown 19th February 2010 11:02

Well Pred or the rest of the Mod team could let me know exactly what you guys planned, I can insure his family and friends attend to see it.

Cheers

Mathias 19th February 2010 11:05

Parade lap with welsh flags draped on bonnets as previously suggested i think would be very fitting?

leeroybrown 19th February 2010 11:22

Sounds a perfect idea to me.

shannon-ob 19th February 2010 11:24

Never knew Gav at all. But from what i have seen on this thread he was obviously a good, funny character.

R.I.P

My thoughts go to family and friends

B+B 19th February 2010 11:41

Met Gav at FCS a couple of years ago, I felt very "out of place" being 65 with a modded saxo, but Gav made me welcome and showed what a good ambassador for Saxp he was.

R.I.P Gav

Bowey 19th February 2010 12:53

ne_jam 19th February 2010 13:32

shocking just heard the news! really sound lad and a great loss! id be definately intrested in the lap or anything else that comes about for him!

rest in peace!

Graeme 19th February 2010 13:52

looking at the pic gav didnt stand a chance!

also makes it hit home aswell in a big way

Viper 19th February 2010 14:03

thats terrible :(

Also got to think how the driver feels with having that burden on him now.

leeroybrown 19th February 2010 14:26

OMG _ Poor kid did stand a chance did he.

Been talking to Jamie today and Gav's body has been released and will be in the chapel of rest.

He also said his Dad has seen this thread and is overwhelmed with the response, he was not aware Gav was so liked and loved by so many people.

I also think he said the driver has given a statement too, so lets hope justice comes through for us.

I mentioned the lap of honour and he said Gav would have loved that and his dad just cant get over what we are doing as club with this thread and the possible (awaiting confirmation from Simo) lap of honour.

Autopsy has been completed to and cause of death and been declared.

MY heart honestly goes out to Jamie, Matthew, Richard, his Dad and Grand Parents, from what he has said to me and what he is doing, am sure Gav would be more then proud to know he has loyal friends such as those above.

Viper 19th February 2010 14:35

the lap of honour will happen Lee.

Sax-p get a lap at FCS anyway, so can just make it dedicated to Gav :y:

jonesyFX 19th February 2010 14:38

just found out about this, met him at xmas party 08 (i'm the one in the pic with him) and spoke a few times

really funny and genuine nice lad, can't believe it!

RIP and thoughts go to his family and freinds
