Car looks smart buddy - not seen this beauty yet
Still working at Tubes, Valves and Fittings?
Will have to meet up soon dude for a photoshoot - also that exhaust looks very good quality so go on then tell me how much did it set you back as the saxo vtr will be wanting an exhaust soon so a custom exhaust is on the cards :y:

For the De-cat and Backbox it's set me back £295 dude :)

Yea, still working there. Sadly haha.

Sounds a good idea to me too! I need some more recent pic's of it.

Azza-VTR 18th March 2011 20:50

Yeah you'll have to keep me updated dude and we'll meet up for a session - dunno if to bring the MG or Saxo though
MG certainly looks the best atm but the VTR will be looking great once I have started doing some mods to it :)

S4XO11 18th March 2011 22:34

The de-cat has completely changed it tbh dude. It isn't actually that loud either... I think it was a shock for me as the mongoose was a near standard sound lol.

Now it's got a nice offbeat rumble low down, kinda like a boxer engine-ish... Then when you get higher in the revs it's nice and raspy.
Without the de-cat when you gave it some it was still a deep noise and it felt boomy if you know what I mean.
Now it's raspy higher up it isn't as loud but sounds awesome =]

Lovely example mate - the ride height looks absolutely perfect too. Handle well compared to standard?

Yea dude. Handles really well i reckon. Perhaps still a little soft if you push it really hard but it's perfectly fun for a bit of twisties.

People tend to say that of these coilovers anyway, good enough for road - bit soft for track.

Brought it about a month back now buddy - its just a standard mk2 03 plate VTR atm and so far the only thing I have done is put a VTS Interior in it and some Carbon-fibre VTR badges for the doors to replace the old standard ones

Update time again!

Gave the car a full machine polish yesterday... Method...

Good rinse
2BM wash with Chemical Guy's Glossworkz
Good rinse
CYC Ultra Fine Poly Clay with Dodo Juice Born Slippy
Door shut's etc washed with APC (will get some FK1000P on them this week)
2BM wash with Chemical Guy's Glossworkz
Good Rinse
Dry with CYC Blue Towel
Kestral DAS6 - I played with Menzerna Power Finish, Menzerna Final Finish and Poorboys SSR2.5... Completely forgot about Lime Prime sadly.
Hand Polished then with Auto Glym Super Resin Polish
Dodo Juice Lime Prime Lite
Chemical Guy's Wet Mirror Finish
Chemical Guy's EZ Glaze
2 Layer's Dodo Juice Supernatural

Plastic's done with Chemical Guy's New Look Trim Gel

Window's still have plenty of life left with the Carlack 68 kit so i just wiped over them with Auto Glym Rapid Detailer.

Wheel's need to be taken off soon to be cleaned thoroughly and also for arches to be done. Engine bay will be done at the same time :)

Then... A few week back i ordered a Forge silicone induction bend, sadly it never turned up. I e.mailed the seller off eBay and had no reply. So i tried ringing them - fake phone number.
At this point i decided to Google Map their address... a Baptist church... Why would a church be selling car part's?! Lol.

So i contacted eBay and got my money back. But in the message the seller also said they would send me one Free of Charge! I doubted it very much but then today it turned up :D haha. Epic...

rorz_vts 29th March 2011 22:30

mate you got lucky there so it turned out the pardre sells clio parts ;)

CHIP 29th March 2011 22:30
