the ones in the link should be the right ones but u should get it from a uk seller ideally, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/10-x-BLUE-RED-...QQcmdZViewItem

you will need 34 iirc to do everything including all the warning lights

mines only a 1.1 tho so no oil temp or engine temp to deal with so is that only 2 less?

why get them from a uk dealer when the other bloke is doing 50 for pretty much £7.50?

Mark51 18th April 2007 21:31

ive got the leds im just trying to find enough time to do mine. when i do and find it easy enough then it wont be a problem mate

How do you get the LCD (the milage display) to light up blue? Does that come out or something?

Any pics?

Thanx
Chris

yours may be bulbs mate, take them out and have a look ill find you some LEDs :y:

as for the needles they will have to stay red unless you get some from a different car, zsaras have white needles, i tried to replace the led in them but i think there tamper proof

haynes should tell you how to get to them mate, once out its just the clips holding the circuit board in that are a bit fiddly, im no good with a soldering iron you just need a steady hand tbh, stroke the iron over the solder while puling on the led with tweezers :y:

heres mine :y:

time_to_ride 24th April 2007 21:12

Thanx Pred. I saw your dials, they look sweet :D how long did it take you to do, inc. removing and refitting?

Predator_R32 24th April 2007 21:14

well after every led i checked it so id say around an hour to do mate, and about half, getting it out about 20 mins to half an hour, as you should disconnect the battery when messing around with the airbag, but once off you can connect it back up to test the LEDs, about 20 mins putting it all back in as you will know how it will go back :y:

time_to_ride 24th April 2007 21:21

Its not going to harm the airbag then if i disconnect the battery first, then remove the stearingwheel is it?

And then attatch the stearing wheel, then reconnect the battery.

Woops missed this 1. Erm Its a Mk2 but could its still be bulbs?

Chris
;)

Predator_R32 24th April 2007 21:27

disconnect the battery for ten mins then take the airbag, same for when you put it back on, when you have finished with the leds just disconnect the battery byt the time you get to the airbag it should be ok

its just in case it goes off they rarely do though

well some early mk2s may be bulbs thats why i said take them apart and check, actually does it have a digital clock and mileometer??

time_to_ride 24th April 2007 21:37

its a digital clock same as in the VT models its just there is not Oil tem gauge only a light for a warning lol :p

Predator_R32 24th April 2007 21:41

probablies can then mate ill find a link for you :y:

EDIT i cant find the leds mate but this is the seller just contact hi :y:
