well my fello sax-p members im sad to say that my saxo vtr is finally going!

as i have mentioned in previous post! due to my current financial situation me and my gf decided its the best option for us to hand my car back to finance company. i still owe them around £2000 in intrest or have the option of giving them the car back :(

now we should have a little more money to live off as i wont be paying 150 quid a month on finance payments for my car. im gutted but it had to be done pluss my car has no m.o.t two/three tyers need replacing and gear box gone, it would of taken me a few months to get back on the road and a fair few bucks hear and there. the gf's parents said they would help out with funds to buying anouther car if i get rid of mine as it was silly me paying for a car still that is 6 years old not worth the intrest im paying on it and dont drive at the moment. next thing i know they ring me and the missues up to say they've baught me a new car :fcuk: a mk3 golf gti 2.0L 8v compleatly standard one previous owner full history and receipts 60,000 miles 12months m.o.t mint condition! i couldn't beleave it i was realy chuffed :y: it healed to wound of having to part with my car a little bit :P im picking it up tomorow so there will be a new progress thread on the way from me :y:

the finance company im with are comming to collect my saxo in the next week some time so this realy is bye bye to my lil vtr now may sqeeze in a lil photo shoot of the golf and sax together before lol

had to take pics of the car as it stands now for finance company to keep as records, two that i liked below (obviously there pics wont have sax-p logos on lol)






and what the future will look like (not my golf but a photoshop of a phat dubs members car) exactly how i want my golf to look......

cheers bud :y: im gutted to but kinda excited about the golf its same colour as one in the pic below one in pic below was originally green but had it photoshoped by a lad on hear to same colour as mine, loving the colour of it but on a down side its a five door which im abit gutted about but golfs can pull off five doors ok dont look to much different from a 3 door. aint realy seen my golf yet but i seen a quick pic and it screeming for some rims lol more than my saxo was lol altho i did grow to love my vtr wheels in the end ;)

your saxo is just so nice though, yeah the golf can pull of the 5 door but it would be great if it was 3 door but is should look good, also my uncle used to have a mk3 golf gti i think, in purlple with team dynamics and was quite quick but only had it like a couple of months ago and then sold it for a mg zr and then sold that last month for a 2.0 astra coupe turbo and only 22 lol

what are the chances of you having another sax

lol id never say never great lil car drove alot of cars only ever owned one me sax and can honestly say the saxo was best car to drive out of every other car i've had ago in. but at the end of this year ill be fullt qualified electrician and shouldn't find it to hard to find a elec job then even concidering the current climate lol so ill most likely looking to buy a brand new car within the next year so just have some fun with this golf for 12months then get a new cupra or golf gti soming along them lines but id never say never to a saxo ;)

yeah well i have just bought another saxo at the moment lol, but yeah golf gti are nice so are cupra's, but as you said i'd never say never to a saxo, possibly a vts one time lol

Sure you dont wanna let the Saxo go mateee but doesnt sound like you had much choice, Golf sounds good thoughh. Will you be making a progress thread on saxP for it?

yeah defo bud as soonh as i get it tomorow morning ill get some pic's up of it :y: 1st mod is to slam it about 80mm up front and 60/70 rear on coilovers obviously, then save for some nice wheels then ill get the other lil bit's n bob's like smoked twin head lights badgless grill etc. its crazy just as i finished my car got it looking how i wannid it to and felt proude driving it :P it has to go lol but as i say im kinda looking forward to a new project :y:

i went out and cleaned me saxo today as the finance agent still hasn't come to get me car. people must think im mad cleaning it even tho it dont actually belong to me any more lol i just hate to see it sitting there covered in tree sap and dust with muggy windows, so gave it a good clean in and out and tomorow gunna buy a cheap car cover to keep it protected so don't have to keep washing the thing. feel like im braking up with my missus getting rid of my saxo lol like relationship break ups times a healer i guess! and a new bird lol, which in this case is a slightly fatter uglier bird a mk3 golf gti lol
loving my golf but it aint a scratch on the saxo fun wise! saxo handels 100 times better and i think its even quicker defo quicker 0-60. in the vtr could do about 62/63 mph in second and golf its about 50/55 mph in second gear.
oh and the saxo so much esier to clean to :P

i never chose the golf my gf's parents saw it by them at a good price low miles etc so they baught it then told us after i was chuffed they did that for me but also abit gutted at 1st because it ment i defo couldn't keep my saxo and try get it fix'd as the reason they got me a next car was so id defo get rid of my saxo. think they were fed up with the fact my saxo spent more time off the road then on the road and was costing me a fair bit a month. when i found out it was a 5door and in a maroon colour i was also abit :( as i was looking to buy a black 3door gti but over time the colour has grown on me and the five door situation iv got ust to. im just gunna stick with it for a year or less till get on my feet then sell it and i recon i could esialy get more for it then what the inlaws paid and give the money back to them for helping me out. but while i got it im gunna make a few subtle changes to it to make it a tad better looking. ;)

louis what was your saxo like going over speed bumps and did your wheels have any rubbing on the arches cuz im thinking of lowering mine about the same as yours but a bit more at the front and the roads up by me are not what you call smooth and there are loads of speed humps thanks ..

on the vtr wheels it was fine rubbed some times when going abit to fast down a bumpy road but nouthing majour tho. go for it bud its worth all the unconfort of the ride just for the looks lol ;)

get a mini mate so many cliuos around now more common than the saxo now. i ust to like the 172's but gone off them now ;)

its original saxo silver colour, the saxo came in two silvers. but mine had been resprayed after being vandalised so paint work was imaculate on it so the vandalism was a blessing in disguies realy lol :y:

what kinda paint you use to spray the manifold cover??
