Considering the circumstances, Simo may let you join the lap of honour Jackman.

To add to that I think his 2 best mates want to join in also if possible, they dont have a FCS but do have

Just shows how much Gav was loved

http://www.westerntelegraph.co.uk/ne..._crash_victim/

This doesnt include this or any other car forum, but if you add all that together, its a hell of a lot of people

SaxoAL 19th February 2010 16:21

Christ, that pic is awful. Really hits home how dangerous a car can be in the wrong hands.

Does anyone know which way the car was heading in that pic. Towards the national speed limit or away? My bet is the driver was accelerating on the approach to the national speed limit road.

I feel really sorry for Gav's family and friends. I can't imagine what it must have felt like for them, to hear the sirens and helicopter and dread the worst has just happened to your mate.

Top marks for everyones support as a club guys. Its shows a lot of love and respect for someone who quite clearly will be missed.

R.I.P Gav.

R.I.P Gav.
Spoke to him a few times on here and he was a top bloke,
I found out that he had passed away through my mate whos a member of civictype-r.co.uk.

Lap of honor at FCS 2010 sounds like the perfect tribute :y:.

-Alex- 19th February 2010 19:07

Still shocking to know we have lost a member of the SaxP family. The lap of honour should be a brilliant send off for such a car enthusiast.

Adz 19th February 2010 19:37

I have never met the guy and never really spoke to him on the forum :(
its shocking,
Rest In Piece fella, everyone is thinking of you,

Adz

Jamesaxo 19th February 2010 22:22

R.I.P Gav!!

Luke 19th February 2010 22:43

Just thought I'd log on to pay my respects.

As many, Gav was a brilliant and sound guy - met him a couple of times and always remember first time he introduced himself to me at Trax 2007 making some whitty funny comment saying everyone was ignorant lol. He was a good lad and I have been following the news pages/facebook group and one that will be sorely missed by the looks of it.

I really do feel for his friends and his Dad who has now lost his son/wife - must be an awful feeling. I still can't get over it to be honest.

RIP Gav, you'll be missed by many but in our thoughts.

Parade lap sounds good and I'd like to join in if possible.

Luke

Didn't know the guy personally, only on Saxp. nice tribute Mike :y:

Would there be a possibility of producing these stickers for the public to put on their cars and all the proceeds from sales to be put to a charity of Gavin's that was discussed earlier in this thread?

TenMillionFireflies 19th February 2010 23:19

I didn't know you, but just wanted to say R.I.P and my thoughts go out to your friends and family!

vtrsaz 19th February 2010 23:46

Brings a tear to your eye when you realise how well liked and loved he was by so many, and cannot possibly begin to imagine how his family and close friends are feeling...

Again.. R.I.P

Matts-VTR 19th February 2010 23:51

Avatar updated as a mark of respect for a fellow welsh member.

R.I.P Gav.

-Jason- 19th February 2010 23:53

Parade lap sounds nice something else we thought of was a memorial sticker for windows on the car with a welsh flag and a fitting message on there to keep it car orientated

Sunk in today really still hard and tbh glad that website doesnt open as picture of the car sounds bad

mclarenmatt 20th February 2010 00:06

RIP, may you rest in peace Gav.

Don't go racing your dream Evo around too much in Heaven ay :)

I think the parade lap should be in his memory, we could do a lap of the track pull up in grid positions and turn off the engines for a minutes silence as a mark of respect?

leeroybrown 20th February 2010 00:31

I like the last part of that, If they allow us I don't see why not

love that idea :)

Tufty 20th February 2010 00:46

The circumstances of this incident are really harsh and frankly quite disturbing! I mean reading up a few posts to learn that his father lost his wife and now his son, what a low blow!...

R.I.P bud

Thoughts are with the family!

Grant 20th February 2010 01:15

R.I.P Gav.

leeroybrown 20th February 2010 01:26

Its a mega shame Gav has gone, but he has done us a favour in one respect.

He has pulled this community closer together then it has ever been, brought the site back to what it was good at, sharing a common interest, new friends and above all a community that cares, tell me how many car forums you know that can off that.

Nice touch all the old members coming back on i.e Leckie, Adamw and even Robb.

D4N91 20th February 2010 01:34

may my thoughts go out to his father, loved ones and friends :(
