How long for? should be fine, not phased tbh. Its a strong flange anyway.

Last update will be kamracing gear linkages and its done. :homme:

new year; 266's, braided pipes, 23? mm m/c Feb is cambelt time then look about dropping her 25/30mm then keep her clean. No big engine plans or out im afraid. Keeping it very simple. >boring<

So what do i think about the mani then. It does IMO feel different, pulls "smoother" through the rev. Some will say its in my head but i genuinly think its much better!

Baz 20th October 2012 18:31

I ment clamp it together with no springs or bolts to see what size you need to cut the springs to

I know what you meant, sir! i aint undoing them. They are nice and tight, has a little play so the exhaust can adjust to the engines movements but not enough to blow.

Baz 20th October 2012 18:45

*awaits the my bolts have snapped post* ;)

ed-bradley 20th October 2012 18:49

Was gutted when I saw on the book of face that you're not lowering it until next year.
Give me a 10" Grinder and I'll lower it for you for free in about 15minutes.

Hur hur.

:fcuk:

I may aswell i have full blown update. Wasnt going to bother but ok.

Its since had 266mm Bosch calipers fitted with AP fluid and Goodridge braided hoses

Every suspension part, you name it bar the beam as its mint has been replaced, all worn ect. I then decided on on B8's and 40mm 155lb Faulkners. Beam is is lowered by 40mm by IM Axles and has Powerflex bushes. Is it too harsh for a daily? no not really. I do watch the bumps more obviously.

Springs

beam bushes

B8's

Few weeks ago my gearbox side engine dropped coming round a bend at 50mph. Stopped my shaft was half out as was all the oil. :panic: ? i did yes. 20 mins later it was fixed. Did anything break? no. ;)

I blame the garage for not doing it up tight as they were the last to touch it when it had new shafts.

So yeah i offically broke down once. *flame coat on*

Polished my cam cover with stainless bolts and legit badge

Before

After Lowered, 40 front, 40mm rear.

Day i was coming home 25/4/13

;)

Whats next? Nothing much but get the paint as clean as possible. It will be getting attacked with a DA6pro next weekend. Ordering one tommorow.

I dont know lol. I really wasnt that fussed i guess. Then went all out on it.

Was an expensive month that. Never again. :zainy:

Main gripe atm is the paintwork on it. :(

I'll be booking it in next month for a few little jobs and a fresh wheel refurb, Silver in time for FCS and the like.

I can feel the dips/bumps in the road more, odd times ive shuddered lol. I can feel most bumps coming from the rear. but overall fine for a daily.

As for B road stuff I love it. It feels more 'stable' 'controlled' going through bends and not like all over the place like it was. Only way i can describe the car now is its like a little go kart on a railway line lol. The rear follows where as before it felt like the car was falling over itself to keep sterdy (if you get me?) But thats because ive ran standard for so long so will say that.

Im not the best explaining stuff dude, ends up a muddle lol.

Jamie 3rd May 2013 00:40

Looks much better lowered John kind of an end of an era lol!.
