Update...

right, car was off the road for a few days whilst the insurance company was waiting for my cheque to clear, so got a few things done.

Bumper off..

Decided to re-do my towing eye. The paint was bubbling and rust was showing through.

Toyed with the idea of painting it a flourescent colour, but thought it wouldn't really match with anything, so sprayed in Mauritius blue.

While i was under there, i wanted to save a bit of weight, so i removed the spare wheel (i have spare wheel in a can, in the boot) and the cage. Unfortunately the bolt had seized to the clamp, so i introduced it to big bertha the hack saw.

Put the bumper back on, and was quite happy with the results. Best of all, you cant see the bottom of the cage/wheel under the car anymore :)
Also got the exhaust sitting a bit better. Pics.

have ordered some autoleads sound dampening material from work, so will update again soon :)

benJee_VTR 19th May 2009 17:49

Right, i have completely stripped out the rear interior and soundproofed with dampening pads. what a difference! unfortunately, i didnt take any pictures, but its only sound proof pads. anyway, its all back in now and me and Jamie went for a little photoshoot today (inbetween rain showers)

Pics:

Also removed the rear diffuser from my other sax ready for painting. and the front towing eye too. updates to come.

i agree about the lowering :)

Got the piping to tidy the bay up from where i work (Wilco Motorspares) for about 10-15 quid. you get 3 different sizes in the pack too in loadsa colours. probably get some in halfords too.
Will have a look at yours too.
