update

right a few more little things have been done throughout the week.

Tuesday night it was towed to the auto electrical place as it was being worked on the next day, on the Wednesday my dad called me to say they had been working on it for a couple of hours and found 9 faults but it now starts.
yesterday the alpine cda-9813r headunit was fitted which looks and sounds great could just do with with the plastic souround. and also my dad fitted a new fan belt.
i also went in yesterday and was extremely impressed to say how quick these are and it sounds amazing with the sportex exhaust, i have only been in a 1.4 and a 1.1 saxo lol but this seems so quick and i love it  can't wait to go in in it again.

a few pics from ysterday

the headunit

thanks

Its coming along very nicely! Nice project you got going here, keep up the good work :y:

Liam-westcoast 1st May 2010 22:08

cheers dom only really need a drivers headlight as one of the clips has snapped and then mot and tax.

but will be a great car when mot and tax is sorted

Liam-westcoast 1st June 2010 19:31

good news.

the car is finally done. today my dad took the car to be mot'd and passed with no advisory's :y:. he then also taxed it as well. the car still has a few little things to be sorted out on it but it seems to be going well so far.

and needs a very very good clean, but i am happy with how it has turned out and the sound from the exhaust is amazing.

Liam mate, I hate to be a cunt (and by the way the VTS is looking ace on the subject of cars, which is surprising, as I usually am not a fan of silver Saxo’s), I am genuinely interested. (I think you know this isn't meant as malicious/being a prick, I am genuinely curious)

Why do you have a VTS before you can drive bud?

I won't insult you by asking if you've thought if insurance and all that bollocks, and apologise if you've already answered this question and it's me being ignorant.

All the best :y:. :D.

Liam-westcoast 1st June 2010 19:43

lol no worries mate this came up at a good price and only needed a bit of work so just bought it as the jobs it needed doing were not to bad, but it is to sell on.

as i want to get a vtr or furio/westcoast for my first car.

so no worries bud.

liam

Bound 1st June 2010 20:03

Ah right, cheers bud!

Yeah, good on ya. I mean, that's the good thing about all the 8 valves, VTR is group 7, whereas a VTS is 14 kinda thing. Isn't just down to groups, but yeah.

Hope you make a tidy profit mate :y: =].

Liam-westcoast 1st June 2010 20:08

cheers bud!

yeah i used to have a westcoast and it was pretty good and would make a good first car, but i got that when i was 14 though, and did not work on it much.

but yeah i am just considering furio or westcoast, but i reckon the westcoast as i prefer that mk1 a little more lol.

cheers mate

joe333 1st June 2010 20:57
