aha you would say that gayjizz you took 2 of them lols

dannygti 19th July 2009 23:25

there should be 2 lines when you take the damper off once used... droop, and bumpstop. the bit in between is obviously susp travel. really, you dont want to be going coilbound....that is bad. you need to go up on your springrate. are you sure you are going coilbound? where there marks on the spring when you took them off?

west mids guys projects are flying along as of late.

there was only the one dirty mark mate that i noticed, the springs havent gone coilbound yet mate, there 225lb springs 6 inch length, i know going coilbound is bad though but when i compress my pugsports to the very bottom by hand they travel right to the bottom the internal stops must be tiny and they have since day 1 and still rebound fine after 6-8 months of use and travelling through that ditch on the decked saxo. allthough one has got abit squeaky at times when being worked hard down the lanes. reckon thats because of incorrect springrate danny?

in that case everything sounds fine to me. the bumpstops will be very short in yours as they are rally dampers after all so travel is essential.
if i were you id just give the squeaky damper a bit of wd40 or 3in1 and that should help a little.

how do they feel on the road now?

good good ill let you look over everything when we weight my car if you like mate, ill try that tomorrow then mate spray wd40 around the stanction of the damper or compress it and spray then let it raise up?

feels ferm man, plan is to replace the pugsports soon with brand new pugsport tarmacs and 250lb springs 21mm torsion bars and aloud of other bits got a massive list mate of parts i wanna uprate change etc.
