love the car mate looks good

JoshFurioBrookes 23rd March 2012 15:32

Took my front wipers off today as I decided to respray the wiper arms. Now I'm tempted to leave them off for abit, as it looks alot cleaner without the wipers!
Also clayed the top half of the car, it feels nice and smooth now!

m11ler 23rd March 2012 15:45

That reminds me, i need to re-spray my wiper arms!

Saxos look better without wipers at all! But yeh, my wiper arms were also in serious need of respraying!

Banded steels eventually, not for a 4-5 months yet though :)

Llardy 26th March 2012 17:19

did you get them pics in the end mate?

JoshFurioBrookes 26th March 2012 18:59

Ah Yeh, I uploaded them onto my computer and then forgot about them! Kinda hard to make out whats what, but the bit I bent is just where it joins and dissapears into the firewall bit, instead of it coming out towards the steering arm it now goes parallel with it, and then obviously goes completely away from it with the flexible mk1 pipe.

You can see where the mark is where Kris had the pole against it to push it back away from the steering arm.

Thanks Simon!
They are back on now, I was only toying with the idea, unless I find an amazing product for the windows that makes water run off instantly, they will be staying on except for shows :y:

Ahh good stuff man! Yeah I've tried rain-x but even that isn't quite good enough to go without wipers. It is only ok IF the rain is hard as if its light rain it just puts a mist on the screen and you can't see shit! Tried in my dads fiesta a few years ago...safe to say I ended up using the wipers!!

Yes It seems wipers are a necessity, who would of thought?!

JoshFurioBrookes 28th March 2012 23:19

While I had my wipers off got a few more pictures, almost happy with how the paint work is looking now. Thinking of getting the boot resprayed and then getting the rest of the car mopped in the summer.

There are now 2 sets of the exact banded steels that I want for sale. Just cant afford them for about another two months, hoping a set will still be about by then, in which case I'll have them on for FCS 2012.

And a reflection shot:
