No thankyou, I'm just not a cheapskate that thinks a new car with less than 400bhp should cost 50p, and maybe people should look at other peoples needs than just think 'oh look m8, you should've bought that 600bhp evo, dont worry its only got 150k on the clock and cost over a grand for a clutch'.

Been there done that, now i need an economical estate, thats my reasoning for getting rid of my other 'fun' cars... I don't know what Joe's reasoning is... and tbh i shouldn't have to know why someone wants to spend their money on a car for themselves, guess what its none of my f**king business

hard_corejoeboy 5th September 2016 16:23

Well said! The funny thing is I'm no pro driver so technically my car is probably surplus to my needs anyway.

Your choice.

No one's saying you have to be old, settling down, buying a house, having kids, or buying an MPV.

Be free :y:

Sometimes you don't have a choice you do what you have to do, which in my case meant carting around 2 kids and double pushchair and still be able to fit a weeks worth of food shopping in, and my new job meant adding an extra 11k to my annual mileage.

I put it off as long as possible, i bought a 5 door r32 when my 3 door golf gti didn't have the right amount of doors, then my partner had another little surprise for me in the form of my daughter. When i picked the double push chair up it didn't even fit in the boot I had to have it across the back seats as well with no kids seats fitted!! At that point i knew the R32 had to go then getting my new job, which is much further away, and getting a house meant i needed an economical car, so all of a sudden a 1.2 fabia estate suddenly looked appealing.

On the up side when im done with the fabia im hoping my salary will be at least double what im currently on, so ill give the fabia to my partner and she can have the family wagon and then I can get what I want! mk8 golf gti/r will be out around that time so ive just gotta put up with it for the time being

Happens to us all, family more important than a fast fun car. I was in same boat, got house baby and had the fun car, now babys not so baby so family wagoon was passed to Mrs and I get the fun toy again. Only difference is my wage won't ever change will always be shite.

Tom5190 14th September 2016 20:05

hard_corejoeboy 14th September 2016 21:19

On the lookout for VAG fitment wheels as I'd like to run some decent track biased rubber. Not sure what's out there at a decent price second hand (can't justify spending out close to a grand for wheels and tyres brand new)

Can I suggest you dont eat a Hobnob without a drink before filming and clean the obligatory dog snot off the rear window before filming

hard_corejoeboy 15th September 2016 13:41

I'd been up for 24 hours and was hanging out as mentioned in the description. The dog goes in the back fairly regulary but i'll bear that in mind next time :)
