Take the Polo that was in FastCar mag 2 months back iirc... Red leather interior with cage, ICE and other mods but it still looked good and pretty tasteful. Fair play to him i reckon... I've spent too much time thinking about this in the last 2 weeks that the gf is starting to get neglected slightly :P I see your point matey but trust me this WILL look good Karl ;) Thanks for the comment |
Sure,
well I mean, its not my car, was just wondering how you were thinking :P |
Nice. I've wanted a grey vts for years!
Get some black mesh where those fogs were :P |
Quote:
setup that is uber-lightweight and sounds great still when you want to spank out some tunes and that plus it all looks good together especially at night and keeps me sane as there is nout else in my car ATM :P Quote:
Will be meshed very soon along with some other bodywork ;) Maybe selling next year after a few more plans that have been put in place are taken care of... First refusals? :P Cheers for the comment dude :) |
Update time...
Nice package arrived today from a certain company which will sort some of my suspension prep out for Rockingham Speedway Engine bay has seen a little clean-up and a few bits and pieces sprayed and tidied up there... Most of the interior has also been finished aswell so i'll post those pics up later when i get a moment before the Guildford meet :) Managed to drive her with no seats in at all last night...only round the car park and then back in but biggest slag on here? :P |
Little update...
After yesterdays work i was pretty knackered plus i then went to the Central South Guildford meet to catch up with everyone and see a few old faces so didnt manage to get pics up of the progress made... Here are a few from yesterday :y: Little package arrives...wonder what it could be :err: ![]() Hmm... ![]() Very nice little item...sexy red colour too :P! ![]() ![]() Fitted very soon when my new X-sport racing gear linkages arrive...fingers crossed tommorow morning so i can crack on with getting everything sorted early and pop down to my local garage to discuss a few plans for the exhaust system ;) Also managed to remove and re-spray the old centre cover and fit the new Citroen Badge i've had lying around for over a week!!! Out with the old... ![]() ![]() In with the new... ![]() ![]() ![]() The old rocker covers need a clean and polish which will happen tommorow hopefully after the above gets sorted (again hopefully a few goodies will arrive) :D Few more bits to come... |
Cont...
Whilst some other bits were being sanded and polished i managed to clean two up with a corse sanding block first of all before moving onto some wet + dry paper which started at rougher grit moving down to very fine finishing grit... ![]() Very happy with how well these came up :) ![]() Not sure if i will need the pretensioner holders above now as when i fitted my harnesses the pretensioner unit was unplugged...I have checked for warning lights and a few hundred miles on i still havnt had any problems at all with anything or even a warning light/dash that looks like a christmas tree :P and the car passed an MOT a few weeks back with flying colours so we will see if they will be needed or not...:ponder: More progress to come tommorow and maybe a few cheeky pictures of her and another well known saxo lapping up some Sun + Sea ;) |
Nice update fella :)
Gotta get my rocker covers all polised as they're in a right state atm :( |

Last little update for today (even though its early and technically tommorow/4th i know :P)...
The sub and amp have been stripped from the rear of my car now aswell and im just running Alpine front components with an Alpine amp which tbqfh sound the absolute dog's danglies as they are and kick out a fair bit of punch so once the car is fully re-sprayed...which should be monday ;)....I can trial fit the sub and extra amp back in and see if i want to wire them back in or just leave them out...We will see :ponder: |
Quote:
What components have you got? Need to get myself some asap! |
Quote:
Noob lol... Alpines running from a seperate Alpine amp and they sound the danglies tbh :) Not sure about subbage at the momento...will have to see on the drive down sun methinks :err: |
After a chat with a few certain members...
I think 'Ellie' is due her first trip to the Ring and should be going in Jul along with a few others ;) Needing a co-pilot for this trip aswell to split petrol/ferry/accomodation costs but this will be one of the best trips you can go on tbh and i cant wait :A: I'll post the details up when all is confirmed :) |

Does Reevesy do this with the Certificate for Cat 1, and what sort of price did he do it for, and would he do it again? Mine needs a Cat 1 Fitted pretty much as soon as its done, and i'm Torn between a Clifford at more money, and a Toad AI606.. Car looks awesome mate too, Really good example, there's not many like this. Will look even better when she's back from the bodyshop! |
Quote:
Jokes man :P Yeah Reevesy gives certificates with all of his Cat 1 alarm packages but it didnt affect my insurance at all lol :homme: Fitted it and gave me a v.good deal but i still need to go see him again and get the remote start fitted soon... He does it for a living but is a busy dude so PM him or text him and he'll sort you out mate :) Clifford's are very very good and i love mine but for the money id opt for a Toad as they offer the same options but a lot cheaper. Paying for the make and that imo! Talk to Reevesy and he will sort you out :y: Cheers for the comments buddy. Im really starting to like the way shes coming together now! Think i may have just got myself some new seats and a de-cat :afro: |
fooooookk me you did strip it red,
how come youve stripped it? |
Red why why why did you get rid of the angels, they make it look so much.... newer lol!
Seriously though, would look tones better with them in it. Not say it doesn't look sexual as it is ;) |

Where's he based? Local to you? Local to me? lol Closer the better :P lol Cheers :) |

Car still smells a little bit like a homebase/B&Q now but im really happy with the respray :afro: Think i might give the interior a quick blast with the UDM to make the flake pop a little bit more! Shiny shiny :P |
so is it staying fully stripped then red??
|
Quote:
Pretty big clue there lol :P Quick update... Remote start will be fitted on May 11th! Woop woop :afro: GTI leather is also going very shortly to replaced by another set of new seats. Let me know if you have buckets up for sale at the moment please :y: Red :) |
Just found this lovely pic randomly...
![]() Snow in april and my car is really dirty!? What a joke tbh lol :D Anyways a quick update on what's progress has actually been made and whats been done in the last few days... The interior has now been fully stripped and resprayed in gunmetal to match the outside I think the whole stripped look has really grown on me and im loving how its looking at the moment minus my rollcage... Pics of the interior as it is now up tommorow or thurs when i get a chance to polish the inside up a bit more and get some good pictures of the metallic flake popping :afro: Few items i've received and polished up... Grubby decat... ![]() ![]() ![]() Shiny shiny...i swear im like a magpie when it comes to a bit of bling lol! ![]() ![]() ![]() You can also see the almost finished tow eye in the above pics aswell... ![]() X-Sport racing linkages and OMP to be fitted tommorow along with the de-cat and some more heatwrap to almost finish off the exhaust system! ![]() ![]() Cant wait for the de-cat to go on along with the lower strut brace :D |
New buckets have also been found and are awaiting collection along with my new rear bumper ;)
Bodywork should be finished in time for FCS im hoping now as i have a few niggles with my paintwork at the moment. |
21st April Monday Update
De-cat'd OMP fitted X-Sport's on Pics of everything for ya... Shitty old Shitroen linkages gone (caused my Crimbo Eve breakdown :wall:) ![]() OMP, OMP, OMP :P ![]() ![]() ![]() Lovely de-cat :afro: ![]() Really liking that last pic! The X-Sport racing linkages were cheaper than standard replacement Citroen items and really do feel so much more solid and firmer. Every shift has been reduced by around 25-30% over standard id say and that is before the Griffith's and Compbrake quickshift items have been fitted from KamRacing!!! OMP lower brace has reduced torque steer and combined with the Sparco upper brace, have really stiffened up the whole feel of the car especially through cornering but i have noticed the difference in just normal driving. The de-cat has made the whole system a little bit louder...ok a LOT louder but it pop's, bangs and rasps a lot which sounds like absolute pure sex :P I also bagged myself a new rear bumper on Sat from Mj1 - Mike (thanks buddy your a ledgend!) so my new Piper backbox can fit flush after the bumper has been sprayed up and colour coded. If anyone has a green forged or Procomp induction kit they want to sell me i will buy them drinks all night at FCS ;) |
Still to do...
* Heatwrap from the manifold all the way to the backbox with some spare wrap i have lying around * Remove heat-shielding from around the system * Fit new bumper, backbox and induction kit - Will make the system quieter but improve the sound and also smoothness of the engine thorugh idle and acceleration slightly because the current induction kit is a bit pants plus it looks like the backbox i have is the channel tunnel just strapped to the back of my car tbh lol! * Clean up the whole underside of the car and lay a few fresh coats of hammerite down  |
Spare FCS ticket and spare for a co-pilot to FCS up for grabs along with space in the room i have booked at Wellingbrough Main Sax-P hotel
Not long until FCS and she should be fully track ready plus a few extras i have planned ;) |
